NOURISHING BODY AND HEART IN AUTUMN
Saturday, October 27th, from 9 to Noon
As you may know, Ayurveda is a holistic healing system that comes from India and is often referred to as a sister science to Yoga. According to Ayurveda, Autumn brings on an energy that is cold, dry, mobile and erratic. We see these qualities being manifested in nature all around us but we may not be aware of the changes they bring in our own system and how they makes us more susceptible to anxiety and airborne illnesses.
We invite you to join our guests teachers, Emileigh Tanner, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, and her colleague Sarah Nelson Weiss, certified yoga teacher from the Albany area, to learn more about the Ayurvedic understanding of the season and ways to keep our constitution in balance. The workshop will include recommendations on diet, instructions on self-massage with Ayurvedic oils, and a yoga practice with grounding and centering postures adapted to the season.
The tuition for the workshop is $35. To reserve your spot, please send a check for $35 written to Upstate Yoga Institute, to Upstate Yoga Institute, 6483 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville, NY 13066. For additional information, e-mail email@example.com.
