Private Yoga Classes

Personalized yoga instruction is a core part of our work. The individual setting enables the teacher to better comprehend the needs of a student and better address these needs. We are specifically trained in the therapeutic side of the various modalities (posture, breath work, sound, meditation, study of texts, etc…) which can all contribute to re-establish balance in our system.

Private sessions can be useful in various situations: 

  • If you wish to create, continue developing, revitalize a personal practice, or refine your level of understanding of the use of yoga beyond what is possible in a group setting, we can help you make your personal practice much more relevant to your current situation and circumstances.

  • If you wish to complement the care you receive from your medical provider with regard to such health issues as stress reduction, hypertension, scoliosis, back and neck pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, gastro-intestinal conditions, type II diabetes, arthritis, asthma, COPD, insomnia, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, heart disease, depression, anxiety, etc., we can work in conjunction with your health care provider when necessary.

  • If you feel more comfortable starting yoga through a few private classes, we can introduce you to the basic principles until you feel comfortable joining a group class.
